Service visit fee waived when the invoice exceeds $350. Same-week scheduling within 20 miles of Rocklin.
What moves the price up or down
- Opening size — anything above 4030 (roughly 48"×36") starts adding 20 – 40%.
- Custom shapes — arch tops, circles, trapezoids and hexagons are 30 – 60% above rectangular.
- Second-story or roofline access — lift or scaffold days add $200 – $600 per day.
- Stucco vs siding — stucco cut-and-patch adds $75 – $150 per opening.
- Tempered safety glass — code-required near doors, tubs, and floor level; add ~8%.
- Pre-1980 prep — lead-safe protocols and dry rot repair add 5 – 15% to labor.
How to read a window quote, line by line
- Product — brand, series, and material. "Milgard Trinsic" and "Milgard Style Line" are not the same window.
- Glass package — low-E coating, argon fill, spacer type. This is where cheap quotes cut cost.
- Install type — retrofit, block-frame, or full frame. Full frame costs more but is right when frames are rotted.
- Site prep — stucco, siding, drywall, paint touch-up. Vague line items usually mean surprise change orders later.
- Warranty — read who covers the labor to fix a failed unit five years in. If the installer disappears in year three, a lifetime glass warranty is worthless.
Six questions to ask any contractor
- 1. Is your C-17 glazing license current, and can I see the number?
- 2. Are the crews on my driveway employees or subcontractors?
- 3. What does your written labor warranty cover, and for how long?
- 4. Do you pull the permit, or is that on me?
- 5. What happens if a pane fails in year four?
- 6. Can I visit two completed installs from the last 90 days?

Every installation carries a 10-year in-house workmanship guarantee. If an install-related issue surfaces, our crew comes back and makes it right. That is separate from the manufacturer glass and hardware warranties, which we register for you at completion.
